INTERVET CONNECTS WITH STUDENTS

Providing information and support for students, Intervet Connect offers individuals, groups and societies educational and sponsorship assistance during their college years.

The scheme includes a number of benefits:

Bursary Awards – The annual bursary provides financial assistance to students from each of the UK’s veterinary schools, enabling them to undertake research in new and exciting areas of veterinary work.  Each vet school has an Intervet Connect Bursary Award staff co-ordinator.  Please let us know, via e-mail (support.uk@intervet.com), which school you attend and we’ll direct you to the relevant contact.

Information
– Intervet has an extensive library of information on a variety of subjects in the companion animal, livestock and poultry sectors.  Students can simply call the 24-hour automatic literature orderline – 01908 685685 - and choose option 3.

Educational support
– Intervet Connect can arrange for one of our veterinary surgeons or other suitably qualified members of staff to make a presentation on a range of subjects from parasitology to infectious diseases or animal husbandry at any of the vet schools or agricultural colleges in the UK.

Sponsorship
– If students have an activity needing sponsorship, which is directly related to college, Intervet may be able to help.  If the request is accepted, all Intervet ask is that students agree to be involved in any publicity surrounding the sponsorship and take some photos to mark the occasion.

Paula Boyden and Darren Peart manage the Intervet Connect initiative, coordinating with both students and staff at vet schools. If you have any queries or questions about Intervet Connect, please do not hesitate to contact support.uk@intervet.com.
